Privacy Policy for Project MidnyFrost

This privacy policy explains what information the virtual reality application Project MidnyFrost ("the App") collects, how that information is used, and how you can request that it be deleted. The App is developed and operated by MidnyFrost ("we", "us").

By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

The App collects the following information:

• Meta account identifiers. When you launch the App, we use the Meta Platform SDK to verify that you own a valid copy of the App. This gives us your Meta user ID and your public Meta username or display name.
• Voice audio. If you use voice chat, your microphone audio is captured and transmitted in real time to the other players in your multiplayer session. Voice audio is not recorded or stored on our servers.
• Gameplay and progress data. This includes your in-game currency balance, cosmetic items you have unlocked, and settings or preferences you have chosen.
• Multiplayer session data. While you are in a multiplayer session, your in-game position, movement, and player name are transmitted to the other players in that session so the game can function.
• Technical and diagnostic data. We may collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, App version, and crash or error reports, in order to diagnose problems and improve the App.

We do not knowingly collect your real name, postal address, phone number, payment card details, or any biometric data such as eye tracking, face tracking, or hand-tracking imagery.

How we use this information

• To verify that you own a valid copy of the App.
• To operate multiplayer sessions and allow players to see, hear, and interact with each other.
• To save your progress, currency, and cosmetic unlocks between sessions.
• To diagnose crashes and technical faults, and to improve the App.
• To investigate reports of abusive behaviour and to enforce our rules.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers required to run the App:

• Meta Platform Services — used for ownership verification and account identity. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
• Photon — used to host multiplayer sessions and relay voice chat between players.
• Other players. Your in-game name, appearance, position, and voice are visible or audible to other players in the same session.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

How we protect your information

Data transmitted between the App and our service providers is sent over encrypted connections. Access to any stored data is limited to those who need it to operate the App. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold.

How long we keep your information

Gameplay and progress data is kept while your account is active in the App. Diagnostic and crash data is kept for up to 12 months. Voice audio is transmitted live and is not retained.

How to request deletion of your data

You may request that we delete the personal data we have collected or stored about you. This right applies to all users, in every country and region, regardless of where you live.

To make a request, email midnyfrost@outlook.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", and include the Meta username you use in the App so that we can locate your records.

We will process your request and delete the relevant data within 30 days, and we will confirm by email once this is done. There is no fee for requesting deletion of your data.

Please note that deleting your data will also delete your in-game progress, currency balance, and unlocked cosmetics, and this cannot be undone. In rare cases we may be unable to delete certain records where we are required by law to retain them; if this applies to your request, we will tell you which records are affected and why.

Children

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at the address above and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on our store page.
